BMW exits Formula 1![]() Long faces in Munich . . . As recently reported on Autosport, BMW has announced that it will end its involvement with F1 after the 2009 season. Formula 1 as a marketing platform was becoming less and less relevant to the company's strategy moving forward - so what does this say about other major manufacturers involved in the sport? Is Toyota next? With such a well-funded effort, and so many different parts as an organization, how much of BMW's investment in Formula 1 will be made useful moving forward to their car making operations, and which specialized talent and resources will end up working with the current and new teams?
