Thanks for supporting local F1 friendly businesses!

Thanks to The Brit Shoppe and You Say Tomato!

Get your taste of Britain right here in San Francisco!

We'll be raffling off gifts from each of these shops this Sunday, so be sure to stop by for all the racing from Silverstone and enjoy the show with us. We're looking forward to a great race in more ways than one, as this is nearly the halfway point in the season and the title is still up for grabs!

It's nearly the halfway point of the 2008 season, and the leader is . . .

Up by a nose nearing half distance this season!

Martin Brundle thinks a certain Brazilian in one of these cars is the one to look out for at the end of the year . . .

. . . but Massa's best finish ever at Silverstone has been 5th

Massa: 0 for 5 on the podium at Silverstone

Felipe Massa - can he make his points lead stick?

Thanks to F1-Photo.com and Griffin Motorwerke for these amazing shots we'll be raffling after the races!

Also, in case you missed this great interview -

Interview with Nigel Mansell

It's worth a listen to this great interview with 'Il Leone', who comments on some historic moments:

Mansell and Piquest at Silverstone 1987 (driving to win)

Mansell and Berger in Mexico 1990 (amazing overtaking)

Mansell and Senna in Monaco 1992 (a fight to end)

Thanks go out to F1 Weekly for their continued support of our upcoming events!

In keeping with our British theme this week, we'd like to introduce you to Bay Area Lotus fan and motorsport enthusiast Chris Locke:

The Lotus Type 77

Chris in the 1976 Lotus Type 77

Chris campaigns historic GP cars worldwide, and will be driving later this month at the Silverstone Classic, and again in August at Laguna Seca. If you have the opportunity to visit either of these events, drop by and say hello to Chris - a very friendly and knowledgeable Lotus enthusiast who's owned and driven several generations of Chapman's creations.
